Venezuela Earthquake
There is widespread devastation in Venezuela following the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes. Homes destroyed, lives lost, and communities are in urgent need of lifesaving assistance. Emergency Action Alliance is closely monitoring the situation.
In Venezuela, a powerful double earthquake has caused widespread devastation, forcing families from their homes and leaving entire communities in ruins. Many people are sleeping outside or in overcrowded temporary shelters, with aftershocks continuing to threaten their safety. For some, there is nothing left to return to.
Essential services have been severely disrupted. Access to clean water, food, electricity and medical care is dangerously limited, and hospitals are struggling to cope with the number of injured. Vulnerable families, including children and the elderly, are facing harsh conditions as they try to recover from the shock and uncertainty.
Across the affected region, EAA charities and their local partners are working urgently to assess the humanitarian needs, and to provide immediate lifesaving aid.
We are closely monitoring the emergency. Please come back to this page as we will share the member appeals and, if we can, our centralised appeal, for this emergency.
