On the 28th of March 2025, a powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck central Myanmar,

with its epicentre near Mandalay. This was the deadliest earthquake globally since the

Türkiye and Syria Earthquakes in 2023, and the worst earthquake in Myanmar in almost

100 years. 

One day after the earthquake, Emergency Action Alliance (EAA) launched an appeal for the disaster. Together, we raised over $740,000 for the people affected, with the support from our media partners ABC, SBS, Channels 7, 9, 10, News Limited, Free TV Australia and Community Broadcasting Association of Australia.

Today, EAA is proud to publish the initial 3 month Impact Report showing how the generous donations of everyday Australians have helped children, families and communities in the areas devastated by the earthquake.  You can read more here.
